These pics are from the American Cancer Society 1st Annual Golf Tournament which was held at McNary Golf Course in Keizer on June 11th. Me and Brian Holt (in the golf cart) were present to represent the Relay for Life as Grand Marshals. They teed off to start the tournament. I had never hit a golf ball before, other than miniature golf, but when I swung my club, all that was heard was a resounding “whack” and the golf ball went sailing straight down the course, a rather impressive distance. The crowd loved it and rewarded me and Brian with applause. Me and Brian later spoke at the awards banquet after the tournament. Over $6000 was raised that day for the American Cancer Society – YAY!
